We took Kellan to his two week appt. and he is doing great! It
was our last visit with Dr. Karpel before we move and we will
miss him, he is a wonderful pediatrician! Kellan weighed 9 lbs.
11 oz. and is in the 50-75th percentile. That made me feel so
great that he is nursing well and over his birthweight now!
He is 22 1/2 in. long and in the 50th for his height. Kellan does
have a little acid reflux and spits up quite often. We have to make
sure to keep him upright for a while after a feeding, and also are
getting him a wedge to sleep on to keep him elevated until
he is a bit older. We do have a script for meds, but the Dr. said to
try the wedge first before we try him on the medication, which I
don't want to put him on. So we'll see if this will help.
Other than that he is doing fantastic and growing like a weed.
He is very aware now, and is starting to be awake more often.
His looks have already changed and his face is filling out more.
I love how he just stares at me now when I hold him or nurse him.
It is really special when I am feeding him and Koben is
snuggling next to me on the couch. I feel overwhelmed
with love. I love my two boys!!
