Austin, TX

We took a trip to Austin, TX while Grandma and Oma were here to stay with the boys. I'm not gonna lie, I had major anxiety leaving them. It was the first time we have ever left them with someone besides when we went to Napa overnight. They of course did great and had so much fun with their Grandma's. After we flew into to TX and started having some fun, I wasn't so worried anymore lol! I have always wanted to check out Austin because of their huge live music scene. I am a huge music lover and was excited to see all of the live bands that play there and the hippie vibe Austin has. We were also there during SXSW. We didn't get tickets because we wanted to see what it was all about. Even without tickets it was so fun! We saw live bands all over sixth street, parties and movie premieres going on everywhere. Now that we got a glimpse of it, we want to go back next year for SXSW. We had a blast. And of course we ate some AMAZING food! The Texas bbq was fab, and all the other places we researched to eat at lived up to their hype. We also went cave exploring, ziplining, kayaking and visited old friends-which was another reason we decided on Austin. I planned a ton for us to do so we didn't waste anytime, and it was the best time. Thankfully Avery is like me and when we go any place new, we just like to get out and explore everything! We really enjoyed our much needed time together and came home refreshed and excited to see our boys!

Hiked Mt. Bonnel for some great views

What?! It's February already?!!

Wow! It's been a while! I just realized I never even posted from Christmas. We have been super busy around here and super sick. We have had flu's, ear infections, colds, nebulizers, antibiotics, teething, sleeping issues...you name it, we've had it. Thankfully the boys have been feeling so much better (and we've been going to school and getting out of the house!). This cold season has been awful. I've also signed up Koben for kindergarten and Kellan for preschool next year, started kind of working on potty training with Kellan, got him to give up his binky, signing up Koben for t-ball, been working a lot on our silent auction coming up at preschool, babysitting for a friend, planning a trip (just Avery and I!) to Austin in March, and just trying to keep up with the daily tasks of running a home and keeping my munchkins (and hub's of course) happy. We all know how this goes. Life is just chaotic and wonderful sometimes haha.

Here are some shots from a recent trip to the Curiodyssey Museum at Coyote Point in San Mateo. It was our first time here and we loved it! Perfect for a 2 1/2 yr old and 4 1/2 yr old. The animals were all really visible and friendly, there is a huge picnic area overlooking the bay and a large playground. We will for sure go back in the summer time!

Mom's Visit

Mom flew here for her birthday. It was so nice to see her. I miss her so, so much. We had a great time and stayed very busy, and the boys were overjoyed to see their Grandma.

Great America! Had a blast.

Avery was happy to have my mom there to go on all the huge, scary rides
and roller coasters. I stayed back to watch and got the boys ice cream, I'm chicken :)

I love this one! The boys did awesome on the little coaster and my
mom's face is priceless!

Love bugs in Snoopy Land

Sonoma and Napa lunch/exploring/a little wine tasting

When Koben found out Grandma was coming he said, "Can we go to downtown
with Grandma and take her for frozen yogurt?"
